angle-left Spring Cleaning Your New or Used Car: 6 Ways to Get Started

When we think of springtime, one of the first things that may come to mind is spring-cleaning our homes. But given the amount of time we spend in our vehicles, shouldn’t cleaning our cars be one of the first spring items on our to-do list?

If your answer is yes, here are a few ways you can get started on your annual car cleanout:

  1. Get rid of the junk.
When you’re on the go, it’s easy to overlook the fast-food cups and wrappers, water bottles and food that collect on the floor. Simply tossing out the junk can make a world of a difference.

  2. Clean the interior and exterior of your car.
Once you’ve finished tossing out the junk, give the inside and outside of your car a good cleaning. If you don’t feel like vacuuming the upholstery, mats and floors yourself, you can always take your car to get a professional wash and detail.

  3. Replace the wiper blades.
Your wiper blades can get pretty worn down by the weather, so it may be time to change them. You can either do this yourself, or take it up to your local auto shop and have someone replace them for you.

  4. Check under the hood.
Since this is where most of the action happens, you want to make sure everything under the hood is in tip-top shape. It may be time for you to get an oil change, your air filters and/or coolant may need to be replaced, or all of the above.

  5. Check your tires.
This is another area of your car that sees a lot of wear and tear, so you want to make sure you are getting your tires checked, rotated and/or replaced periodically.

Spring is also the season of “out with the old and in with the new,” so if you’re someone who’s currently looking to purchase a car and need help getting approved for financing due to bad credit or no credit, contact an enrolled dealer on the Credit Acceptance auto finance program to help you get started on your credit approval today.
